1/02/07 - The Pottstown Fire Department responded to 790 incidents in 2006. North
End Fire Company responded to 527 incidents out of those 790 incidents.
1/13/07 - At 1:14 hours AIR 69 was dispatched to 1250 Doris Drive for mutual aid to
assist Station 58 & 59 on a working house fire. FM 88-1 reporting heavy fire from the
garage. Chief 59 AIR 69 and RESCUE 69 for RIT. AIR69 was cleared around 3:30 hours.
1/15/07 - At 21:04 hours Station 69 was dispatched to 333 N. Evans Street for a
reported car fire. Engine 69-4 went on location reporting a working engine compartment
fire. 69 Units cleared at 21:33 hours.
1/17/07- At 2211 hours, the box alarm was sounded for the house fire at 5027 36th
Place. Engine 93 & Truck 9 responded from the station with 9 men. Engine 92 was
leaving the fuel pumps at 55 and were added to the call. Engine 92 & Squad 1 arrived
on the scene with a working fire. Engine 92 advanced a line to the front door, while the
squad crew gained entry into the house. Crews encountered fire on the first floor and
basement. Engine 12 arrived on the scene and advanced a back up line into the house.
Truck 9 arrived on the scene and handled ladders, utilities, entry of the rear and
established the R.I.C. team. Engine 93 arrived on the scene and advanced a line to the
back door and stood fast. All searches were negative and the fire was knocked with-in
15 minutes. Command held the units from 9, 1 and 55 for overhaul. Company cleared
the scene at 0005 hours.
Fireman Ryan Raneiri recieved first & second degree burns to his arms, neck
and ears. Ryan was admitted at Med-Star over night. The MEN of Bladensburg
and wish you a speedy recovery. Our thoughts are with you.

1/18/07 - On behalf of everyone at North End Fire Company. "The Brotherhood" would

1/22/07 - At 7:53 hours Station 69 was dispatched to Armand Hammer Blvd & Queen
Street for a reported vehicle rescue. County came back also reporting that the car had
wires down on it and was on fire with the driver and passengers still inside. Units arrived
on location and firefighters extinguished the fire and found that everyone had made it
out safely with no serious injuries. 69 Units cleared at 9:27 hours.
1/26/07 - At 18:01 Station 69 was alerted to 1467 Cherry Lane for a reported basement
fire. Deputy 69-D went on location reporting nothing showing. Deputy 69-D came back
reporting a heavy smoke condition in the residence and that there was a small fire in the
basement. Units extinguished the fire and ventilated the residence. 69 units were
cleared around 18:24 hours.
1/26/07 - All 2006 Incidents have been filed into the archive section of the website.
1/29/07 - At 12:00 hours Station 69 was alerted to 524 W. Chestnut Street for a
reported basement fire. Pottstown 5 went on location reporting smoke showing from the
rear of the building. Pottstown 5 then relayed to the county that this was an active fire in
the basement. Crews entered the basement and put a quick knock on the fire within a
matters of minutes. Additional crews put fans in service and opened windows throughout
the residence to ventilate. Squirt 69 was returned around 12:30 hours. In-route back to
the station Squirt 69 was diverted to a odor of gas inside call at East 3rd & Hanover
Streets. Squirt 69 was back in quarters around 13:00 hours. The remaining 69 units
cleared the basement fire at 13:42 hours.
2/13/07 - At 22:17 hours AIR 69 was specialized to 116 Wilson Avenue (Berks Products)
to assist with the multi-alarm fire.
2/16/07 - At 8:54 Station 69 was dispatched to Walnut Street & N. Hanover Street for a
reported car fire. Engine 69-2 went on location reporting the car behind the preschool
with a working engine compartment fire. 69 Units cleared at 9:36 hours.
2/16/07 - at 16:01 hours Station 69 was dispatched to 799 State Street (Pottstown
Plaza) for a reported car fire in the lot. Squirt 69 went on location confirming the report
of a working fire in the engine compartment. Crews put a line in service and made quick
work extinguishing it. 69 Units cleared at 16:34 hours. Additional Photos
2/20/07- At 20:01 hours Station 69 was alerted to 950 N. Charlotte Street for a reported
chimney fire. Squirt 69 went on location reporting smoke and fire from the chimney.
Crews entered and extricated all debris from the fireplace. Other crews also check the
roof and 2nd floor for extensions. Everyone did a excellent job. Units were cleared at
20:23 hours.
2/20/07 - At 23:31 Station 69 was alerted 236 N. Charlotte Street for a reported
dumpster fire. Engine 69-4 went on location confirming the report behind Fecera's
Warehouse. Units were cleared at 23:48 hours.
2/21/07 - At 00:13 hours Station 69 was alerted to 267 Beech Street for a reported
apartment door on fire. Units went on location and crews extinguished the fire before it
could get into the apartment. All units were cleared at 00:57
2/21/07 - On the way back from 267 Beech Street. Squirt 69 came upon a dumpster on
fire at E 3rd & N. Hanover Streets. Crews extinguished the fire. Units cleared at 1:15
hours.
